Sukhothai Historical Park
Sukhothai Historical Park is located at 12 kilometres from town on the Sukhothai-Tak Highway. Ruins of the royal palaces, Buddhist temples, the city gates, and more, which was the magical and spiritual center of the Kingdom, are now preserved and have been renovated by the Fine Arts Department with the cooperation of UNESCO.
Description
The park is not only Thailand's national identity but is mankind's national heritage. The tourist service center is near Wat Phra Phai Luang.
Local Transportation
Car: Take Highway no. 1 (Phaholyothin) and turn away on Highway no. 32 apssing Ayutthaya and Nakhon Sawan provinces and then turn to highway no. 117 to Phisanulok province through Sukhothai province
Bus: Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses leave Bangkok's Northern and North-Eastern Bus Terminal (Mochit 2) to Sukhothai province daily and then take to the park by local bus.
Train: Leaving Bangkok is Hua Lamphong railway station to Sukhothai province.
Air: No direct flight. Take a flight leaving Bangkok to Phisanulok province at International Airport and then take a bous to Sukhothai province.
Before you will travel to each place, please make sure about way to go there including both time schedule and open-close time.
